Everyone likes to shop for flights. I love my beer mug and NFL flights in particular! But do you know why flights come in different shapes? The wing surface area on the flights affects the flight of the dart. Slim and kite shapes are better on lighter barrels, while pear, standard and vortex shapes are suitable for medium to heavy darts.
You should try out different flights. There are many different sizes and styles of flights, including smooth and dimpled surfaces. Try them all out. The size and style of your flights can impact your game. Dimpled surfaces will help slow down and stabilize your darts. Try out all dart flights sizes and styles until you feel comfortable with your final configuration, but don’t be afraid to experiment as time goes by.
