Dart Partners

Tournament play will most often involve a partner.  The worst thing that can happen to anyone in a blind draw situation, or even a team tournament, is to team up with someone who thinks they play better than you.  When this happens, tell your partner up front that advice will be asked for as needed.  If that doesn't work and they can't resist helping you out, tell 'em to shut up or you'll pitch three off the board.  That should do it.

On the other hand, if you are the better player, make sure your partner knows it's good that he asks you for help, but also tell him he has to ask.  In this case, pay close attention to your partner, and be ready with an answer if he has a question, but don't break his train of thought with unwanted advice.  Disparate parnters who communicate well, can often beat the better teams that don't talk.  Never lose sight of the win in a game of darts.  It's not the only reason to play, but winning sure keeps your interest level high, and make the game even more enjoyable.

Until Next Time!
Tony
